Journeyman Update - Mercs vs Cygnar

Josh and I faced off for our first 15 point game and it went quick!  I was running Durgen Madhammer, 2 Bashers, a Blaster, Thor Steinhammer and Dougal Macnaile.  Josh was running Constance Blaize with 2 Chargers, Gallant and 2 Storm Towers.
The first turn we both advanced.  Second turn Dougal MacNaile popped his mini feat giving Durgen 2" on his carpet bomb, which hit Gallant and put some damage on Constance.  Then Thor Pronto'd his Basher over a wall into Charge range of Gallant.  Then the Basher Grand Slammed Gallant, sending him 5" back, taking out Constance.  Great game Josh!
On a side note, we played a second game and Josh smoked me second turn.

Journeyman Update - Mercs vs Khador

Ryan and I threw down for our first 15pt game tonight.  I ran Durgen Madhammer with 2 Bashers, a Blaster, Thor Steinhammer and Dougal Macnaile.  Ryan ran Sorscha with a Destroyer, Juggernaut and 4 Widowmakers.  The scenario was Killbox.

First turn we both advanced.
Second turn I moved to the left side of the board and the Blaster took a shot at the Juggernaut, doing 1 damage.  Then Durgen took a shot and did a couple more damage to the Juggernaut.  Ryan then put Boundless Charge on his Juggernaut and charged my Blaster, taking it out with one swing with his axe and one swing with his massive fist.
Third turn, Dougal popped his mini feat Double Powder Ration, allowing Durgen to fire a Carpet bomb at Sorscha.  He had popped his feat, so he hit doing 13 pts of damage.  Then two additional aoe's hit the Destroyer with 6 damage and killed one of the Widowmakers.  Sadly, Durgen put 3 focus on a Basher, thinking that he would redline it...and he got carried away boosting blast damage, that he forgot about the poor Basher. So the Basher failed his charge, coming 2" short.  So, the other Basher was Pronto'd and then slammed the Juggernaut back 6", doing some damage.  Sorscha dominated on Durgen's mistake and the Widowmakers advanced and fired at Durgen, putting 2 damage on him.
Then Sorscha popped her feat and used Wind Rush to get in Durgen's face.  She then took him down with two swings of her giant Scythe.  Good Game Ryan!

Journeyman League - Durgen Madhammer vs. Lylyth

Adrian and I finally faced off for our first battle box game last night and it was a SLOG!  It was a 4 1/2 hr game on Vassal that would not end!  We both played hard and there were some close calls on both sides.  Adrian began with a rush up the table, spreading out his Shredders and keeping his Carnivean within close proximity to Lylyth.  Then I moved everything to the left, hoping to set up some charge lanes for future turns..and stay out of reach of the Carnivean.
Second turn, Lylyth rushed up the centre of the table with the Carnivean and his Shredders ran up all the flanks.  Mercs second turn, Durgen popped his feat and dropped a carpet bomb on Lylyth, scoring a hit with 6 damage and then missing completely with the other 2 AOE's, one of which put some damage on the Carnivean.  Then my Blaster went for some spray damage on Lylyth, hitting 2 Shredders as well.  Sadly, no damage to Lylyth.  Then my Basher redlined for a Grand Slam attack on Lylyth and then followed up, leaving her with only one hit point left.  The other Basher Grand Slammed the Carnivean put 8 damage on him.
Third turn, Lylyth attempted a melee attack against my Basher, and scored no damage.  Then the Carnivean took a free strike from one Basher to attack the Basher in melee with Lylyth.  He scored multiple hits with all of his melee insanity and destroyed the Basher.  Then the Shredders blocked up charge lanes, engaged the Blaster and one ran up to just outside of Durgen's melee range.  Turn three for mercs was a lot of sad dice rolling.  Durgen attempted to Carpet Bomb Lylyth again, coming up short and missing everything on the table.  Then the Blaster took a free strike from the Shredder to take a shot at Lylyth and he missed.  Then the Basher activated and walked around the the back of the Carnivean, taking a free strike from a Shredder, to attempt a melee attack on Lylyth.  Sadly, he came up short and only hit her with a boosted pow 6 from Flak Field... which also failed.
Fourth turn, Lylyth took a shot at Durgen and hit, doing some minor damage, but granting free charges to his battle group.  This lead to 3 charges from his Shredders which finished Durgen off nicely.  Great game Adrian!  That was intense!

Reinholt the infamous Gobber

Gotta love this little Gobber. Spyglass lets your warcaster measure the distance between 2 models in your line of sight. Lucky Charm gets you an additional die, drop the lowest And Reload lets you fire a range weapon twice. Siege doesn't usually come out of the box without this guy. Now Jeremy's been discovering how useful the little guy can be to Durgen. Well, I've had him for awhile, I figured it was about time to put some paint on him, and I'm actually rather happy with the results considering how small he is... and so ... handsome...
