Covenant of Antarctica Release for January 2016

After a long silence on Dystopian Legions, Spartan Games has issued an announcement for 2016 just in time for Christmas.
4 Box sets will be available to support the COA faction in their Dystopian Legions tabletop 32mm strategy game.

Here is what they had to say: "Ever since the Iron Scorpion boxed set was first released there has been a pent up demand for the Covenant of Antarctica miniatures, and we are happy to announce that their first wave of reinforcements has arrived. Fully compliant with the Dystopian Legions 2.0 ruleset, we have four boxes of miniatures that will allow players to either expand their existing Iron Scorpion forces or start a new tabletop force of these exciting miniatures."

The COA force is defined by scientific superiority, and elite sections.  Excellent at range, and also offering resilience to survive battlefield conditions, the Commandos and Automata are a formidable, futuristic force in the Dystopian world.  Check out their ORBATs (army stats) here: http://www.spartangames.co.uk/resources/downloads

Time for Something a little Novel...

Some of you may know about my incessant and persistent toying about with too many things at once.  My hobbies are too broad, including extreme sports and terrain building, Illustrating and Sprinting.  Subsequently, things like designing a board game, and writing a novel become very difficult to finish.  That brings me to now; I have started, written, finished and never released a few novels and countless short stories.  At this time, I am officially announcing the future release of my first book of fiction called "The Modis".  My distinct hope is that this will help me to consolidate my attention and to put the final touches on this book.

I say it that way because I published a book of non-fiction a few years back, though it centres around an obscure sport called Observed Trials.  This becomes my first foray into publishing fiction, and I am excited to tell you a little about it, and encourage you to keep a reminder in the back of your mind in anticipation of the impending pre-order and the coming freebies.

At the moment, we are organizing formatting and timelines with an intended release in the first quarter of 2016.  Leading up to this, I plan to be sharing some of the characters and ideas that this project has gone through.  If it piques your interest, subscribe to hear more about it.

Looking forward to an exciting 2016!

Ryuma Steambike

I've been working on painting these guys up, and had an excuse to refresh my memory on building animated gifs.  It's been a while since I made one, but here's a view of the steambike in progress.  I am loving these models, not just to paint, but also on the tabletop.  They have some fun moves, and in particular can push models out of melee, which is a very useful tactic.
